St. Ann Classical Academy is hosting an Open House for Catholic Schools Week, on Sunday, January 29. There will be a pancake breakfast in the cafeteria at 11:00, and the open house from 11:30 – 2:00. Come and see the difference a classical, Catholic education can make for the children in your life.
Our next uServe event for middle and high school students is Soap For Hope, on Tuesday, February 7 from 4:30-5:30pm at Holy Trinity. We’ll make hygiene kits for families for their first night in a shelter.
The recent passing of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI has rekindled interest in his life and work. Join Fr. Jeff for a talk and discussion on the life and legacy of this remarkable figure of the contemporary Church, on Wednesday, February 15 at 7 pm in the auditorium of the school building at St. Joseph's in Raritan.
Blessed Carlo Acutis, a teenager beatified by Pope Francis in 2020, designed a website to document Eucharistic miracles. His work has been turned into an International Exhibition. Come learn about Blessed Carlo’s love for the Eucharist, venerate his relic, and view the 154 exhibition panels. There will also be a presentation on recent Eucharistic Miracles by Nancy LaCorte. All this will take place beginning at 7 pm on Thursday, January 12, in the Auditorium of the school building at St. Joseph’s in Raritan, and everyone is welcome.
The Bishops of the United States have called for a Eucharistic revival in our country, to strengthen our faith and deepen the fruitfulness of our encounter with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Join the Oratorians at Holy Trinity on Wednesday nights at 7 pm beginning March 9 for a 4-part series on The Mystery of the Eucharist. Each evening will include Adoration, a refection given by an Oratorian priest, and conclude with Benediction.
St. John Henry Cardinal Newman lived an extraordinary life, as a theologian, pastor, novelist, convert to Catholicism, and Oratorian. He had a tremendous influence on the Second Vatican Council, is considered one of the greatest English prose writers of the 19th Century, and has inspired the recent growth of the Oratory especially in the English-speaking world. Come learn about this fascinating saint on Wednesday, February 23 at 7pm here at Holy Trinity in the church basement, with a viewing of Bishop Barron’s film “St. John Henry Newman: The Convert” followed by a discussion led by Fr. Jeff.
Sanctify, our group for young families, couples, and adult singles will be meeting on Sunday, Dec. 5 at 1:15 p.m. following the noon Mass at St. Ann's in Raritan. Join us for Eucharistic Adoration, faith formation, and some festivities as we enter into Advent and celebrate the feast of St. Nicholas. After Adoration and our next discussion on the theme of the Mass, we will have a potluck St. Nick party in the St. Ann's school cafeteria. As the Year of St. Joseph concludes, all are invited to take part in the Consecration to St. Joseph, a 33-day journey of prayer with our spiritual father. Weekly group meetings begin Wednesday, November 3 at 7 pm, and the Consecration will take place Sunday, December 5, all at St. Joseph Church in Raritan.
